For the first time in the theatre's history, a virtual access to spaces where entry is usually forbidden, experiencing first-hand the new author's dressing rooms at TAM!

‘Vietato l'Ingresso’ saw seventeen planning and design studios breathe new life into the seventeen dressing rooms of the TAM Teatro Arcimboldi Milano.

The theatre opened its doors to the public during the recent Fuorisalone and for a week it was possible to enter the artists' private place.

Ideal Standard was chosen for the interior design of the dressing room ‘Homage to creative revolutions’ signed by Monica Baio and Nicola Quadri. The bathroom furnishings were in fact selected from the company's catalogue.

The round washbasin is part of the Ipalyss Atelier Collections collection, while the vanity unit and porcelain stoneware countertop are also Atelier Collections but from the Conca family of proposals.

Bidet and wall-hung toilet with AquaBlade® technology are both from the Tesi line.

Ultra Flat S was selected for the shower tray and Connect 2 for the clear glass.

Finally, two round mirrors from the Conca Atelier Collections, 90 and 120 cm, catch the eye in the dressing room and bathroom, completing the washbasin area.

The dressing room, designed by Baio and Quadri, pays homage to the courageous modernity and creative revolution accomplished by the architect Josef Frank, who, opposed to standardised interiors, was convinced that the forms and colours of nature, brought within the walls of a closed room, generated a relaxing sense of freedom and well-being, an ideal condition before going on stage. A theory that enriches the designers' aesthetic choice with meaning and history.

To complete the scenography of this small precious space, where the artist takes energy to express his art, Baio and Quadri have selected an eclectic mix of gallery furniture, functionalism and Made in Italy excellence in product and material design. These include Ideal Standard, which has decided to participate enthusiastically in the project, sharing the ideals of creative revolution, the same ideals that have guided the company for over 100 years and continue to do so today represented through the Atelier Collections and the technological innovations introduced every year to meet the needs of modern living.

Until 27 September, voting is open for the most beautiful dressing room. The winning project will be offered the redesign of the ‘Camerino Muti’, dedicated to the famous conductor Maestro who first inaugurated it when the theatre opened.
